Asti
delivered 10 BIG, healthy yellow puppies on January 12, via
c-section. She labored and pushed for a long time with no results,
so off to the vet we went for x-rays. Sure enough, there was a puppy
stuck at the pelvic bone and attempts to help him out failed. And,
by then, Asti was soooo exhausted that a c-section seemed our only
option. Dan and I sat nervously in the waiting room. About 35
minutes later, they came out with "Fat Head", the pup that was
holding up the show. He was beautiful and weighed in at 1 pound 4
ounces!
All
the pups are doing great, feeding well, very content. I am very
pleased and relieved myself! They are consistent in size,
weighing in at 1 pound 1 ounce to 1 pound 4 ounces.
Asti
likes to produce those girls! We have 7 girls and 3 boys.
She's a trooper, loves the babies and doing a great job despite being so
tired. We'll continue to add pictures as puppies grow up.
